If you only look

WORLDMESSAGE sets one cookie with a random id so the same browser is not counted as two visitors. It holds no name, no email and nothing that identifies you. Your browser also stores a random id locally so the "watching right now" counter does not count you twice.

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third party tracker. The visit counter is a number in our own database.

If you pay

The payment goes through Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record: they are the ones who charge you, and their name is what shows up on your statement. We never see or store your card. They pass us back the email address you typed there, and we keep it for one reason: to tell you whether your message passed review, and to let you know when somebody outbids you. We do not send anything else and we do not sell or share it.

We also store what you published: the text, the image, the link and the name you signed with. That part is public by design and stays in the archive.

Abuse

We keep a temporary counter of requests per IP address so nobody can flood the site with fake bids or uploads. Those counters reset on their own and are not linked to a person.

Who else sees it

Three services: Vercel hosts the site, Neon stores the database and Dodo Payments handles the payments. If email notices are on, Resend delivers them. Nobody else.

Your data

Write to hello@theworldmessage.com and we delete your email address from our records. The published message itself stays in the archive, as explained in the terms.
